This directory contains precompiled binaries of the
 Mozilla 1.6b

We do not guarantee that any source code or executable code 
available from the mozilla.org domain is Year 2000 compliant.

These binaries were all built from the mozilla cvs repository
(http://www.mozilla.org/cvs.html), off the MOZILLA_1_6b_RELEASE
tag, with the following commands used to obtain source:

On OSX/Unix/Windows:
  cvs co -r MOZILLA_1_6b_RELEASE mozilla/client.mk
  cd mozilla
  make -f client.mk checkout

Read http://mozilla.org/build/distribution.html for instructions
on  how to build a copy of Mozilla suitable for distribution.

mozilla-win32-1.6b-installer.exe contains core.xpi (compressed core browser
files), mail.xpi (compressed mail/news files) and the installer required
to install them. This is your basic win32 client release.

mozilla-win32-1.6b.zip contains all of dist/bin from an 
optimized build.  This package includes many debug and test files, and does 
not include an installer.  
If you do not understand this, you should use 
mozilla-win32-1.6b-installer.exe.

The following builds are for Linux on x86 platforms:
mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-1.6b-installer.tar.gz
mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-1.6b-full-installer.tar.gz
mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-1.6b.tar.gz

The following builds are for Mac OS X:
mozilla-mac-MachO-1.6b.dmg.gz

Packages in other formats and for other platforms will appear as 
they are produced by volunteers.
